About Anikethana

This organization was initially formed as an informal association within the Shri Thammaiah and Smt Thimmajjammal family in 1999 by Dr Lingaraj, Shri Krishnamurthi & Shri Muthukumar in the name of ‘Thammaiah Family Welfare Association’.  This was basically started to assist financial assistance to deserving family members by way of collecting subscriptions from the members.  Ms Sumathi was in-charge of the finances.

2003

In 2003 Shri Krishnamurthi wished to expand it further and go digital with the idea of a family album and launched in the name of ‘Anikethana’ .

2009

 In 2009  a website was launched by Shri Krishnamurthi in the name of Anikethana & funded for the website by Shri Krishnamurthi, Shri K. Suresh Kumar (Norway) & Smt K. Sourabha.  The website was not able to continue due to gap in renewal period.

After determination of Shri Chidambamurthi & Krishnamurthi, the Association was renewed with vigour again in 14 August 2011 with great support of Smt Vijayalakshmi based from Mysore. The Head Office was founded at 177, 22 Cross, Ist Stage, D Block, JP Nagar, Mysore. Various activities of the organization were charted out. It was decided that the association would henceforth be called as Anikethana Welfare Association, as a sequel to the forming of the Anikethana Album in 2003. A eleven member Board of Directors was elected and it was decided that a Directors Meeting would be held once in three months & General Body meeting once in a year.  These meetings were to be conducted either in Mysore or in Nilgiris / Coimbatore.  Apart from the social get-togethers & family welfare activities it was decided that financial assistance on case to case basis would be given to deserving members by way of Personal Loans, Medical Loans & Business Loans.

2012

In 2012 the Board declared that Smt Vijayalakshmi, Dr Lingaraj, Shri T Krishnamurthi, Shri Chidambaramurthi & Shri Muthukumar as Founder Members.  The same year, a Trust was raised and registered alongside the Association in the name of ‘Balaga Anikethana Trust’.  Till date the Association has membership strength of 110.
